The goal of character creation is to provide a common way to express the capabilities of a character so both players and the GM can understand at a glance what is possible. Character Creation consists of three parts:
- Stats, which define the basics abilities of a character.
- Skills, which define the areas the character is experienced in.
- Traits, which describe physical attributes and abilities.
We will be looking at each of these topics separately in more detail. In general though Stats are things in line with height, weight, raw strength, etc. While skills represent things like a knowledge of physics, training with using a specialized tool, or physical training to perform a specific action. Traits describe almost anything else and can be both positive and negative, like how attractive a character is or how charismatic they are.
